We dont care if its winter, when the sun is out the beach is a great place to be in winter, hanging out with hardly anyone around.

Birthdays, Birthdays everywhere

What a week in the Williams house we have had!!!!! Firstly last weekend was pretty busy with the boys grandfather and grandmother down from Queensland, then Joels official 11th Birthday on Tuesday which was a mixture of good and not so good celebrations.

We had a family dinner for his birthday. I made some cakes, which I totally screwed up but with a little bit of cream and icing and stick in an Australian flag, Bobs your uncle and the kids are happy! Joel chose mexican for dinner which we all really love because it also means easy cooking, easy eating kinda night.

On a bad note, Joel decided he would punch a kid at school and got himself a 10 day suspension, can you believe he got suspended on his birthday. Naughty boy!

Then it was Joshuas birthday today. He turned 3! Because he never had a party before, we kinda went all out and had a pirate party even with an official pirate, it was so much fun making the boys costumes and his cake. I am so proud of myself for doing such an awesome job, they turned out great!Arrrr me hardies, where's the pirate party!

We had such a good time, straight after his party which went from 11am to 1pm we then had a family dinner for lunch. Steves mum was there and it was her birthday as well. I made these beautiful angel cakes with cream and flake chocolate speckles, oops forgot to take a photo of that. After taking over 200 photos, I was all photo'd out.

Spending time with Poppy

To help celebrate Joels 11th Birthday on the 19th of August, his Grandfather Kerry and wife Ros came down from Queensland for the weekend. We spent a few hours showing off 'our' town before coming home and having a lovely dinner, bombfire and party activities.

Joel also had a 'claytons' birthday cake and a friend sleep over.

We had a lovely time talking and watching the kids play our new Guitar hero that Joel got for his birthday (early I might add)!!!

The above photo is me and Andy playing Guitar hero, The boys are complaining I hog the game but really Im just practising so I can help them. Notice I made this photo smaller, this is so I look smaller too. hahahaha Im still stocking up for the winter.

We decided to make masks as well and as you can see the boys had a great time designing and painting.

A pretty good weekend all round, cake, lovely food, a warm fire, wine and good company.

Yesterday was the start of the Olympics for 2008, it was also a day considered 'lucky' in numerology. To celebrate we decided to have home made chinese. I make this awesome fried rice that is more like a stir fry followed by spring rolls while we all watched the Olympics. I thought the opening ceremony was great except for the Asian 'Nikki Webster', that wasnt very original.

Family

Today I was rushed to hospital via ambulance with a terrible episode of bilianry colic- I have gall stones. Apparently Im a perfect candidate. I meet all the criteria. Fair, Fertile, Fat, Female- the 4 F's.

After spewing up I felt so much better, feels like you are dying, worse than labour.

Anyways, I was sitting there waiting for the Doctor to review me so I could go home when my cousin walks in with her sick son. He was coughing and the poor thing didnt look well. She saw me and said hi, then proceeded to sit about a metre away from me and ignore me.

It gets better.......

Her mother, my Aunty and god mother came in with her boyfriend, saw me said hi then ignored me!!!!

These people are suppose to be my family as in we have the same friggin DNA and they cant even ask why I am in an emergency ward looking like crap!!!!

But it wont stop them from ringing around tomorrow to find out from other family members why I was there.

Jealousy is a wasted emotion girls!

Ahhh the memories

Its been 15 years since I was at school, I will always remember Miss Rose and Mrs Furner telling us all 'These are the best days of your life' Dont you hate it when teachers are right?

Don't get me wrong, I love the fact that I am older and wiser and have my beautiful family but life was so easy back then. You didn't have to worry about kids or houses or bills or cars or jobs even, just school and friends.

And I was so beautiful. Why did people tell me I was 'big', they set me up for life to have an unhealthy body image- now Im just too busy to give a toss, but back then I was gorgeous, tall, blonde, I needed to hear some postive things every now and again, it didnt always have to be negative.
